Hey all, just replaced my oil pressure sensor with a new brass one and after installation instead of the gauge being maxed out its stuck at zero and im getting the "service vehicle soon" notice and the P0522 low voltage code.
Has anybody had a new in the box unit give them issues like this? or am I looking at more of a connector issue?
The old unit was covered in oil and I tried to clean the clip the best I could but didnt use electrical connector cleaner or anything like that. I'm wondering if the oil is preventing the clip from making a good connection? Hard to believe a new in the box unit would be bad right away...
I didnt pull the intake mani so im trying to avoid having to pull the new unit out all over again lol.
any suggestions or previous experience with this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I would bet that you didn't properly reconnect the plug since you weren't getting the code before. You may be able to fit your hand back there from the drivers side

It's definitely on there all the way as it snapped in. I just got some brake cleaner and I'm going to disconnect it and clean both sides to clean up and get rid of the oil that was saturating the plug. I hope that fixes the issue, otherwise I'll be pulling the intake mani....
Figured it out, at some point during trying to get the clip on the sensor I bent one of the prongs, so had to pull the sensor out and straighten the prong and reinstall everything. Now everything is good to go!
