Modifying the stock driving light grills?
I'm looking at Mid-America's catalog and for $70 you can buy the Cold Air Induction grills. Has anyone fabricted their stock grills with a drill and hole cutting bits? How difficult can it be? I have the RM Racing Twin flow intake and think I could benefit from the cold air flowing directly onto the air filters. Is it a difficult job to remove them?

Yeah, I guess I could do that. I was just thinking of something else besides what other people are doing.

I just drilled some big holes in mine, then put Z06 screens over the top.

One of the forum member made a really neat template for drilling the holes in place and not having to take them out. :yesnod:
The info is on his website:

Under "My Corvette Site" at under "How To's", look for "Custom Cold Air Screens"
