Default Tapping the Intake for a Vacuum Port

I am installing the NA KB BAP and need to hook it to a vacuum source. There is more than enough room on the back of my LS3 intake to put a drill a hole and put a bulkhead connector on it then run a short line to the vacuum sensor. Anyone see any problems with this as long as the bulkhead connector is sealed and does not leak?

Is there a reason you don't want to use one of existing vacuum lines and "tee" into it? The AIR vacuum line or others?

Why not just T in to the vacuum line that is already at the back of the manifold? There is a port that is used for the climate control...back, right-hand side of the manifold. I put in a T connection for my Fusion Bi-Mode exhaust.

You could also use the line that runs to the brake booster...that one should be easier because you won't need to remove the manifold for access...

I dunno, I can't think of a way where it won't look like Bubba did it. It has a 1/8 NPT end on it. If I have to I could just get http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...Term=555-15271 and put it inline with the brake booster hose, but I dunno.

There is nothing wrong with tapping and installing a port. Just use some sealer on the threads. The one for the HVAC on the back would be too small for the BAP probably anyway.

The back of the LS3 intake has a small nipple that has a tab that you can break off and use it. It is right by the brake booster line and is normally used for the NPP exhaust on the Grand Sports etc. You should see it on the pass side back of intake. No need to drill and tap anything then. LS2 intakes on the vettes have the same thing.
