Here's the problem I'm experiencing on my 2003 Coupe:
Car idles relatively fine, but after giving it a bit of throttle (around 3-4k RPMs) while parked and driving, it returns to idle at a very low RPM (around 500 or less). Sometimes the car even dies if I don't apply a little gas.
It will return to a normal idle after this brief issue, but it does not seem normal.
Thank you. After a little research, it seems the best way to clean the throttle body is carb cleaner, then wipe clean.
For vacuum testing, I've seen multiple people say different things. The one I'm leaning towards is using propane near all vacuum connections to determine which is leaking.
Thoughts?
An old tooth brush along with carb or throttle body cleaner works good for cleaning throttle bodies. Don't forget the edge of the plate. See how that works.
Propane works well for locating vacuum leaks
