Last night I got home and washed the car, went to pull it in the garage to dry it off, and rear tirees flat message popped up.
I have factry 01 Z06 wheels on my car w/o the sensors and have just been hitting the reset button when I started the car up. I have been doing this for 3 months w/o a problem and now this. Why would this happen all the sudden and should I just disconnect the battery and reset the computer or what.
I have the 2 rear sensors sitting in my house, and have been waiting for the other 2 before I went and got them put in, but may have to go and do it now.
Daft question this, but where in your house are the sensors ? Are they in the garage ? I'm wondering if the car interrogated them and got a reading back from them while they were sitting on the shelf ? If you normally drive away from the garage (or the garage door is closed) when you hit the reset button you're probably out of range, but if you were driving in you might have brought the sensors into range.
I know that the sensors aren't supposed to give a reading until you're doing 20 mph or so, but I've had mine give a valid reading at lower speeds.
