Transmission fluid change
(2003 Z06) Has anyone used Valvoline DEX/MERC ATF in their MM12 transmissions.
If so.....thoughts, comments. Thought about going to a synthetic but was advised by TREMEC to stay with Dexron III.

I use mobile1 synthetic ATF fluid and am very happy with it. I have used the stock fluid and Amsoil Torquedrive ATF and the Mobile1 worked the best for me but the Amsoil was ok too. The Amsoil and mobile1 are both synthetic that are dexron III compatible.

follow up to my recent post regarding transmission fluid change.
Installed Valvoline DEX/merc.... transmission shifted like crap. Felt like the gears were dragging when you shifted. Called TREMEC about the symptoms......they suggested Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid. Drained the Valvoline & installed the Pennzoil Synchromesh fluid today.....there is a world of difference. Nice smooth shifts now, no dragging, no clunk just smooth as a baby's........well, you know.
