Default Nology HotWires

Anyone have any experience with Nology? I've been curious about there wires for some time, and have read really good reviews on them in several magazines, but i hate to drop that kinda $$$ on something i'm not sure about. The whole concept of the wire having capacitive qualities is cool, and the tests show amazing results at the plug, but those qualities also kinda worry me.

I was just checking out there plugs today too:
"Silver is the best electrical and thermal conductor of any metal. This makes Silverstone™ the best spark plugs in the world. Period!"

Hmmm well, i thought gold was the best electrical conductor, and aluminum was the best thermal conductor (relatively speaking). While silver is definatly a step up, i kinda wonder... Do you think it gets you anything over platinum or iridium at $7+ a plug?

Just looking for opinions here...

Do not waste your money on the nology snake oil. :nono:

The spark from the factory coils is more than enough to ignite your air/fuel mixture through even the factory carbon based wires. You want to buy spark plug wires for heat resistance, longevity, and EMI suppresion.

I have the Magnecor wires because they are RED to match my car and engine covers (now that I have painted them).

I agree however, that the Nology wires are a waste of good money. Spend the $$ on a vortex or blackhawk air intake. Looks better than stock and actually does a little something. Just my 2 cents worth.

Save the Wave :D

I had a set of Nology Wires. Ended up burning 4 of 8 wires after only 6 months.

Switched to a set of Magnecore's and I have had no problems since then.

Here is another negative..They emit so much RF noise you can't use a MAFT...I helped a forum member isolate the problem..Ditched the wires and the MAFT worked fine again...

I just bought a set of Magnecor's at Thunder Racing for $69.95 plus freight, best price I could find. Money well spent the stockers at 4 years old were shot. The wife said the car felt much more responsive. :yesnod:

I had Nology "Hotwires", and I removed them. Went with MSD.
I would stay away from them.
On a C5, a waste for sure!

Take it from me!
