Are you talking about the intake manifold, or the valley cover. They are two separate pieces with their own gaskets.
The intake is under vacuum like any other intake manifold due to the vacuum caused in the cylinders during an intake stroke.
Excessive oil in the intake manifold is caused by too much oil making it's way from the PCV system. It could be the baffle on the inside of the valley cover has a bad seal. There was a TSB about that long ago. Other things can cause excessive oil in the intake manifold too.
The truck engines don't have the PCV in the valley cover like the LS6. They go through the traditional route in the valve cover. That is most likely the source of the oil.
What leads you to believe you have a vac leak?
I just see a tube going in the DS valve cover no pcv? have to look harder
Truck had a slight misfire at idle, very low power pinging real bad. Exh pulse was super weak
Thought it was acats so I replaced them
Though they did need replacing soon cats werent the issue
Put the green fel pros on the intake along with 2 knock sensors new GM harness TB gasket etc.
Runs way better just not 100% I think.
When you crack the throttle blade I get a sssshhh noise. LIke air sucking . Used a can of carb cleaner everywhere on the intake/system cant detect a leak
This PCV/sucking oil thing has me interested
Bout a month ago it used a few quarts in 1 weeks time. Then returned to normal. ??????

If the engine is idling and you crack the throttle blade you probably will hear sucking noise because the intake manifold is under lots of vacuum with the throttle blade closed. When it's cracked, more air is trying to rush in past the blade.

There should be hose coming of the intake manifold someplace close to the throttle body on the vacuum side of the blade. That hose either runs to one or both valve covers or a nipple on the valley cover. Not sure since this sounds like a truck engine.
There is one fitting that runs from the TB to the PS valve cover, another runs from top of manifold to right rear on DS valve cover. Ill ck the PS valve cover
Still fighting the dreaded p0332 code also. Replaced knock sensors harness all gaskets.
Ill replace all the 02s also today never touched them in 12 yrs.
