Who makes an Oil Pressure Sensor Relocation Kit these days???
Who makes these kits? Am thinking of relocating the sensor while I do my heads/cam upgrade. I will either just get a new sensor and hope it doesn't go bad on me or relocate it and not worry. My 97' with 60K miles has never had a problem. But since I will be right there....
And should I replace the MAP sensor on the back of the intake as well? Do those have failure issues as well???

Thanks. I will look up those parts! Do you have any pics of yours? And what is the best method for sealing the connection to the block where the sensor was originally mounted? I assume one of the above fittings threads into the block and then the line threads to the fitting??? Do we just use Teflon? Or copper RTV? Or ?? Curious, I here it's a common leak area.

I just used Teflon tape and have not had any issues and its been a year now.
I will post up some actual pics of all the parts and some of the completed install when I get home from work.

Just looked at the parts list and visualized how the go together. At least I believe I have the order of connections correct. lol A gauge installed in there would be nice too but I'm sure not needed.

Wish I had seen this post two years ago I'd of saved $100. I'm not looking back though best insurance I've installed on the car to date. Westcoast Corvette did mine including the install. I did not have the guts to remove the intake at the time. Would probably do it now.
Next will be the remote clutch bleed when I have to replace the clutch.

Outstanding. Looks awesome. Ordering as soon as I can figure out a gauge to add on.

What type of gauge am I looking for? Looking on Summit but don't see the type that plumb right in. I was looking at the analog type. Mechanical?

I was told to use a 2009 Buick Enclave oil pressure sending with the mod.

I've heard of the Buick mod but never researched it. I plan to just relocate my original sensor as it still works great. If it fails I will buy the cheap Lifetime warranty ones at the local autoparts store. Why I did this as it will take 5 min to swap one out.

I just recently came across another way of relocation. www.TurnKeyEngineSupply.com has an adapter that mounts the sensor down near the oil filter on the side of the engine. Retails for around $30. I would investigate this if I ever have the problem. Lucky so far!
