borla xr-1
wut goes on inside the resonator on the xr-1's?, is it an x-pipe or an h-pipe or wut?, also if it isnt an x-pipe is it legal to replace the resonator with an x-pipe and would this cause more/less resonance or remain about the same? thanx

Well since its your car you can do whatever you want to it for starters, a resonator is not an emmisions device so you could hack it off and put a 300 x-pipe and gain or loose 1hp.
The xr1 was good for 5rwhp/5rwtq on my 02 with the only other mod being a vortex intake. The weight savings alone is worth it.

The XR1 is loud really loud.. I love it..
I believe the resonance would be unbearable without the resonator, especially if you have an auto...

With a set of TPIS headers and such - it is even louder. I LOVE IT!
