well I have a northeast car and I have 'em . anybody else had them and opened them up. I don't want to go to headers just looking for a little more kick with the stock setup.

interesting... the Corvette Black Book makes no mention of this, but it wasn't until the 2001 model year that saw a 50 state emission legal Corvette as standard.
"California emissions" is listed as an option on the 2000; but there is no details of what this encompassed.

that is what the california emmissions are... that is why when the C5 came california cars weren't rated the same because of the extra cats. then in 2001 they redesigned all vettes to have them. which is why the air intakes were redesigned and a bigger maf installed.
