tpms and hvac issues

ok i did some searching and couldnt find the trouble im having. 98 c5. i tried reprogramming the tpms through the dic with no response. i tried several different times repositioning the large circular magnet with no response from the car. any ideas or tips.
NOTE: car has C6 wheels.

If you think there are TPMS installed and not just valve stems, do you know you have the correct ones for your year C5?? The 97-2000 had a different/incompatible TPMS from the 2001 - 2004 C5 and the C6 TPMS are not compatible with the C5 system for either of the year groups.

Thanks for the info.. im not completely sure at all if they do or dont. i will give the previous owner a call and ask him if he knows.
