I was working on my vertical headlight adjustment this weekend. As expected, the adjuster was frozen. I didn't break the golden rod but the other screw that runs through the gear turned by the golden rod is buggered up. Anyone been successful finding a replacement without replacing the whole headlight assembly? If so, what part number or where to find?
The screw is a 1/4" with 20 tpi. While a 1/4" 20 tpi bolt isn't hard to find, a compatible head for the plastic retainer is. I've looked at several Doorman headlight screws at the various stores but they are 28 tpi. Any (serious) suggestions for alternative repair are welcomed too.
