DCM replacement
Yes another DCM issue. I can lock the passenger side door with the FOB and from inside BUT I cannot unlock with either. Reading all the posts I am pretty sure it has to be my DCM.
I have an opportunity to get one from a member off a same model year vehicle/kind.
My questions are:
a) Can I just replace it or does it need to be reprogrammed? In other words I can just swap the modules and everything should work.
b) Do I need a module that matches the part number in mine, or any 2002 module should work? Luckily the module is coming off a same year and kind of car I have (02 Z06).

Sounds like both DCMs are bad. Swapping relays inside the DCM may be a waste of time considering both modules seem bad.
If the replacement module you got was in fact "brand new", I'd exchange it. Sounds like someone put their old one in the box and sent it back.

I will just swap the unlock relay from the working module to the one with the bad unlock relay.

N8Dogg, the description from the buyer was as in working condition. Bought it off a member here from a part out, so its not new. New to me that's all lol...both modules work fine but one doesn't lock and the other doesn't unlock.

Got it to work and swapped relays at my work lab, the guy did it in 10min. Now i have working lock/unlock. Good thing is i have an extra module and will be replacing the relays on the extra module and have a spare one.
