Rear Brakes......................
I put new brake pads on my car a few months back and the rear brakes squeal when stopping. The front brakes are fine. I turned both front and rear rotors. I used Bendix heavy duty pads. When the rears started squealing I put another set on and they did the same thing. I used the stop sqeal stuff and even bled them. I heard that if I use some high performance pads like Hawks, it will stop. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

thanks. i'll try that first before i spend $80 on new pads that may do the same thing. sand the rotors and pads with some 120 or what?

When you used the anti squeel lubricant did you place it on both pad backing plates where they rub the caliper. Need to do both sides. Also did you lube the caliper slider bolts under the flexible rubber boots. these also can be a source of noise. Lightly sand rotor surface and pad surface to break the glaze and you should be fine. Use a very fine sand or emory paper 600 grit or finer, just want to slightly disturb the surface. then take it easy for the first 50 miles or so while the pads re seat.
