Axle seal leak help
Ok I changed the right axle seal twice in the last three weeks and still leaking. Like slinging it against bottom of car leaking. First time ok I thought I was a little rough and may have bumped the seal with the shaft while putting it back in. Second time no bumping at all. The shaft looks fine with no grooves or anything. Any ideas other than take it to a shop?

are you sure its the diff? make sure there are no small tears in the inner cv. boot that may be slinging grease out. I have replaced one on mine and one on feeder 82's for the exact problem. Very small split in the ridge of the boot. I have never had to replace the diff. axle seal and have had half shafts in and out numerous times, they usually don't leak, however if it is the diff. seal give Jeremy a RPM transmissions a call he may be able to give some advise.

Well after changing it for the third time it doesn't leak. Word of advise put lots of STP oil treatment on it before installing and pack the groove where the little spring is with grease. I also made a tool out of a 2x4 with an 1-1/8" hole drilled in it to make sure it went in evenly all the way around while tap tap tapping it.
