Default AC direction needed

So, my AC decided to stop working and I could use a little direction on this. It was working fine, but the last few days if I stopped somewhere , got out to gas it or something, restarted it, it would start to only blow warm with no codes. I finally looked at it this morning and the AC clutch was not engaging, checked fuses with no luck, also,
when on, the AC light does stay on. Did the battery disconnect as well.
Sounds like the clutch went out?

Can I assume you actually PULLED the DIC codes and had nothing?

Your info sounds like it works fine if you start the car from cold and drive, but if you stop somewhere then it does not work when you resume your drive. Is this correct?

You got it. But, This car makes me feel like a idiot sometimes. It seems in order to get it to work, all I have to do is post on the forum, and that gets it to work. After posting, I went back out and tinkered with the connectors on the AC (before starting it again) and it started working again, so possibly I just need to clean the connector, but I am not totally convinced that is the case, but I will pursue that direction and see what happens. I'll have it out this afternoon and see and post back.

Intermittent AC can be a sign of low refrigerant. The AC compressor will shut off when the refrigerant is low.

Low refrigerant is indicative of a leak somewhere as the system is closed.

However, here are some things to try first, if the problem comes back.

I am aware of the low charge, I've been through that when I first bought the car 4 years ago. This was something different, and if it comes back I'll check the link.
Thanks for the help!

No problem. I just went through this recently. I keep meaning to write a comprehensive how-to to compliment some of the ones that are out there. Most of my pics are on my old phone...I think. I have friends who own their own shop, and who taught me all the ins and outs. It's amazingly different and easier than some of the other how-to threads, if one can get ahold of the correct modern equipment.
