i need help with spark plug selection
So i have a ls1 with
Stock 243 heads
Tsp 288r cam
Long tubes
And a couple other small mods
I am Putting down 390 at the wheel.
I was told by my buddy i need to run a step colder plug bc i have about a 100 more hp then stock and that you should go a step colder for every 100 hp you gain. So my question is what kind of plug should i run. I was told the br7 would be perfect for my set. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

With your setup, there's no need whatever to not use the AD Delco Iridiums, in the stock heat range, or any of the other quality Iridium plugs out there, i.e. Autolite, NGK, Bosch, etc.
Forced induction, nitrous cars, etc should consider making heat range and/or gap changes, but if you're not experiencing a specific problem, just remember: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
