Default request,Mr Bill Curlee

Mr bill Curlee,You have helped me a lot on my C5 and I appreciate all your hard work.I have moved on to a C6 and i see you around sometimes (on the C6 site). Anyhoo I have bought a few aftermarket goodies and I can't seem to get an answer on something.I installed a retractable licence plate unit that the wiring occupies the heated seat fuse. Now I have a mild to wild foot switch for the npp which instructs me to use the same fuse location. I contacted the vendor and all he said was "use the exhaust fuse location".The kit comes with the wiring and switch all set up,however there advice on using the exhaust fuse location results in an addtl wire (white)that would have been placed in the "left side of the exhaust fuse". Are you familiar with this nPP set up? if so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me where the white wire is now supposed to be located if even used at all with this set up.Sincerely, wlean99

As long as the combined current of the the two circuits doesn't exceed the current rating of the fuse that was originally intended for that fuse location you can use a piggyback fuse holder like this. In your case you probably would never be using the plate retractor and NPP switch at the same time.
Amazon.com: Add A Circuit Fuse ATO ATC Tap Piggy Back Standard Blade Fuse Holder, ATO ATC Fuse Tap (Add-a-fuse): Automotive Amazon.com: Add A Circuit Fuse ATO ATC Tap Piggy Back Standard Blade Fuse Holder, ATO ATC Fuse Tap (Add-a-fuse): Automotive
You need to be careful not to use a fuse location that had a low amp fuse in it because the wire on the back side of the fuse block supplying that fuse may not be big enough to carry the current of two higher amp circuits. For example, you would never want to put two 20A fuses in the Add a circuit fuse holder and plug that in to a spot that had a 5A fuse it it. The wire feeding those two circuits might only be 20AWG. That small wire could get very hot and the fuses would never blow.

Bill Curlees PMs won't go through. I've also tried. It's not because it is full, I received a message saying that he has opted not to receive private messages.
