Does this sound correct?
My questions are (1) do I need one resistor on each led bulb?(2)where do you wire these in at and to which color wires for a 1998 C5?
Thanks
I'd like to use what I have already purchased and received.
Which wires do these get tied into for the rears?and do you need one per bulb?or per circuit?
Bear with me cos I'm in the uk (euro zone lol) .
I wanted to have usa spec rear led lamps , i had to use resistors on my led lamps i got from ebay usa.
One resistor for each bulb / lamp .
These just connect into the + wire that would have gone to the stock bulb. I don't think it matters which way round the resistor goes .
Just cut the wire and connect the resistor onto those two ends .
Mine was slightly more involved cos my car had the euro harness which has separate bulb sockets for stop and tail , and indicators .
Will get the proper set up at some point , just didn't know of any alternative at the time .
Am i right in saying you have three wires going to each lamp .
two color and one black.
I can find out what color the brake / indicator + wire should be if that helps , think it might be green on one side and yellow on the other but can check .
You'll still likely end up replacing them after they fail and you've already cut-up your harness and damaged the insulation on the wire so moisture gets into the copper and corrodes it. There are lots of people saying they have failures. It's because those metal resistors are rated mounted to a heatsink, not in free air yet the suppliers don't say anything and people just mount them in free air and then they overheat and fail.
