First of all, Hey guys! Im new here and new to the corvette world. Im 23 years old and from Canada.
I've owned a lot of cars ( 52 to be exact ) and now have a 99 C5 Coupe with the automatic transmission.
Car is bone stock except for muffler deletes ( Which I hate, will reinstall stock c5 muffler ASAP ) and a Vararam V2.
Went to the track and got a 13.3 @ 107 MPH with a 2.2 60 ft on street tires. I know my 60 ft is horrible but track here is not well prep and my tires just wont stick.
Im buying a set of 275/40/17 mickey thompson radial next week and the guy also has a Diablosport Predator he could sell me for 150$ in the deal...
I've tried searching but only threads I could find were old ( like 2008-2009 )... Was just wondering if the diablosport was worth it on a automatic transmission and would I see any gain on the 1/4 mile with it?
I dont have tuners around here that will do a custom tune directly on the ECU like you guys have in the USA ( lucky you! )
I can't speak for it with a Corvette but I had one on my Mustang and loved it. I def felt a small increase in power from just the canned tune on it and it doubled as a diagnostic scanner as well
I have one that I use with my 04 coupe A4 and it really made a difference in the shift points. Feels much stronger and wakes up the A4. Probably see more gain from an automatic than a manual transmission from comments I have read. I like mine and do not regret getting one. Of course as mentioned, a professional tune is much better especially if going to the track.

For an A4, it is helpful mainly because it makes the shifts faster and firmer. I think it does the fan temperatures too. For $150.00, it is a good enough deal that it is worth it. Once you start modifying things more and more though you will have to get a professional tune.
