Default F 55 deprogramming

I have a 2003 convertible. Does anyone know were is the module referenced in step 4 and 6 in the procedure below? Is it the one in the trunk in the little well on the left side of the car?
A little background - I had a seriously leaky front shock and wanted to replace it. Of course the cost is ridiculous to replace the F55s so I bought some Koni FSD's. I found a shop here in Vancouver who will deprogram my F55 shocks. The dealer was basically useless, the service department had no idea on how it could be done, and they would not help. Not surprising. The shop I found with a Tech 2 is a diesel truck repair shop and not familiar with the location of the module on the vette. Hence the leading question.

I just changed the shocks tonight and have the 2 left ones that look OK, with 50K on them. If anyone is interested I could let them go for a song! I took the Koni's for a test drive tonight, and compared to the F55 which was shot - the improvement is obviously huge.

Here is the procedure that worked!

1. Hook up your Tech 2, turn the car ON, make sure the module in the rear is plugged in. DO NOT UNPLUG THIS MODULE

2. Now use the Tech 2 to delete the F45 option ( F55 option does not appear on the Tech 2 menu screen - SO - DELETE THE F45 OPTION

3. Save the new configuration

4. DO NOT TURN THE CAR OFF DO NOT REMOVE THE TECH 2 Go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the GRAY connector - IT IS THE WIDEST ONE - leave the center and smaller black plug in.

5. Turn off the car but LEAVE THE TECH 2 PLUGGED IN

6. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of the car

6a Disconnect battery for at least 60 minutes

6b Reconnect battery

7. Now the moment of TRUTH - Turn the car on and verify that the dreaded - MAX SPEED 80 MPH - is gone

8. Unplug the Tech 2 - Get in the car and take it for a ride. Smile as you pass the DREADED 80 MPH and in knowing that you beat GM

I completely removed the module out of the trunk just to make sure it NEVER gets plugged in again! If it does you are back to square one as the computer will reprogram the F55 option back in.

Great advice, Thanks - I did just that to prevent me from doing something stupid!
I got the deprogramming done today, no issues - back up to cruising over 80MPH. The Koni's work great for my purpose as a daily spirited driver. My wheels are now solidly planted on the ground
Thanks to all on this forum, it has been a huge resource for me to help me solve problems - and find more fun things to do to my Corvette!

I have about 47000 on my F45 on my Vette and know this is coming. Good to know you can de-program them. Are there any adjustable shocks for our cars. Loved Tokico's had the Koni's on an Audi TT as well. Like to be able to adjust em.

Deprogramming the F45 is not the same as the F55.
