I am replacing an M12 in my 01 Z06, what else should I be changing out while its all apart ? Local tech said not to bother with clutch if its working just fine. I'm looking at selling the car soon after so I'd rather NOT put any extra money into it but at the same time don't want to be silly about it.
Just my $0.02, but if I had the trans out - I would definitely change the clutch disc !!! (Unless it's essentially brand new.) Just because it works fine right now - doesn't mean it will be working fine in 1,000 miles. If you were rebuilding an engine would you put the old oil pump back in just because you weren't seeing any problems with oil pressure before you pulled the engine ???
While everything is apart - check the couplers in the drivetrain, the pressure plate, and the throwout bearing for anything that looks abnormal.
throw out bearing
pilot bearing
slave
clutch
torque tube bushing
clutch master cylinder
just my opinion
This, except maybe not the clutch master. I'd also add the rear main seal and the rear engine cover gasket. I'd give a good look at the dif seals as well. The left side seal is notorious for failing. Give a once over to the wiring harness and the O2 sensors to make sure there aren't any issues with wires exposed, chaffed, or melted.

How much work is replacing the clutch since the trans is already out ? Car is making stock power and will stay that way.
Another couple of hours and whole can of worms. If there is nothing wrong with it and it's not worn out and you are not increasing horsepower then leave it alone.

if you're going to sell the car and nothing else is broken/leaking I wouldn't bother putting any more money and time into it because you will not get that back when it comes time to sell it... if you decide to start replacing and/or upgrading while the drivetrain is out you could easily be in it $1k or more just in parts
The torque tube couplers are known failing parts. Usually all cracked up when pulled out. Many fail due to age. It would be a good time to replace them.
How many miles are on the car and how many miles do you plan to put on it before you sell? I dont know how people can answer your question without knowing that.
