Default Loose steering

Is there anyway to increase the force it takes to turn the wheel on my 98? The daily driver is a BMW x5 and the steering is very tight in the force it takes to turn the wheel. The c5 front end parts are in great shape ,new suspension ,spring , tires hankook rs3 275/35/18, 55,000 miles. Just wondering if there is a steering dampner or ideas?

I've never heard this complaint before. Are you sure there isn't something wrong with the BMW you're comparing it to?

I'm confused. Is your steering loose or you just want it to require more force in order to change the steering angle?
