ABS is not modulating; No Warning Lights or DIC codes
I took my 2003 Z06 that I bought about a year ago to my first HPDE this weekend and we did an all stop test to practice and my wheels locked up. I have no warning lights and no DIC codes. I looked at the fuses and 52 and 53 were both fine and all the way in. I can't find anything in the forum that matches this problem. I need help on where to trouble shoot. Thanks. By the way. The weekend was awesome.

Wondering if the pump motor has failed or the connection came loose. If I recall the pump has a separate 2 pin connector just for it. Not at home with the FSM to see if that would throw a code.
It's in front of the motor. I too am surprised no codes. But then again.. count yourself lucky. My EBCM went out and it lit the IPC up with codes and lights.
I'll try the parking lot in the rain next time I have a chance.
The Traction control and AH seemed to work fine out on the track, got some AH messages. And I can turn them both off and also go into Competitive mode. The traction handling message comes on if I accelerate and spin the tires so that system seems to be working fine.
But believe it, I have no ABS with no codes in the DIC and none on the Instrument panel. And all the lights on the panel check during ignition turn on.
I guess I'll have to take it to the shop since this is an unheard of problem.
Thanks again.
Why? ABS has saved my butt a few times in a few different vehicles.
With stickier tires and better brakes the ABS triggers too quickly.
ABS is a fantastic device for 90% of the drivers on the road.
I have a little different feel for what the car is doing than most drivers, I prefer to modulate the pedal based on the situtation/conditions and not some pre determined deceleration parameter.
I suppose that a previous repair messed up the connections. I'm the second owner and I wasn't able to get any records from the previous owner since I got it from a dealer.
Have you tested it since the repair? I would think in a straight line panic stop, it wouldn't make a difference. If the sensors were crossed, the active handling should not have worked properly.
Just my .02
Very interesting find, but how did that affect your HPDE brake testing?
The test wasn't straight ahead brake testing?
The HPDE was a straight ahead panic stop where you were supposed to let the ABS bring you to a stop. I also had it happen on the track when I braked too hard. My wheels locked up and there was no ABS. I'm not sure why the crossed wires would cause this problem but must be something with the computer calculations. Garbage in Garbage out is my guess.
