the MSD LS series coil paks have a rather poor history for build quality...some work some don't....has the reliability improved over past productions...not interested in any claims for "improved power" just cosmetics...they look better!!!

I just talked to a tuner on sat. about these, he said they have never replaced a factory coil, but had to replace a couple of MSD.

Hi Irish,
If you are looking for some of those, I have them ready to go...
I think the general consensus is that MSD could not produce a coil pack that could out do the stock setup. There arent any gains to be had, and then the fact that they are known to fail makes it unthinkable to spend the ridiculous price for them. Paint your coils red if you want

Dear fellow members,
I did test on my LS Engines 3 sets of those MSD...
The test were back to back on chassis dyno, both Mustang and Dynojet...as well as on engine dyno.
The results were showing consistent gains when tuning was optimized, significant ones at the high power level my engines were or are.
Nonetheless, reliability was not there, and randomly one coil was starting to misfire, or at least act weird...
Those in the picture here above are the left over on the three sets I used.
All of those ones are in working state...and supposedly not failing anymore...but that I will not guaranty!!!
