Default High Oil Pressure

I changed the oil about 4 weeks ago and starting yesterday my oil pressure is high

Idle 30PSI
Accelerating 55-65PSI
Constant speed 40PSI

I checked the oil and its at normal level and no leaks. Coolant level and color is normal.
2000 Corvette coupe with an A4 with 180,000 miles.

Those are good oil pressure numbers. What were they before?

Before they stayed right at 40PSI and the gauge did not fluctuate at all.

The RPM range is between 1500 to 3500 when accelerating.
constant speed is about 1900 RPM

What you reported in your first post above is about normal Not sure what changed that caused the "more" correct numbers to be reported all of a sudden.

Engine temp will also change oil pressure. Pressure will drop when engine is warm.

Ok thanks guys. I thought something was wrong. I thought my oil pump might be going out or the oil pressure switch.
