My 2000 FRC is throwing some codes/check engine light. The car has 19k miles. I have had the same exact mods for 17k of those 19k miles. Which is the screen removed and the Donaldson Intake. I am not real sure what is going on ?????
Here are the codes........
P0113 Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit High Voltage -B
P1111 Intake Air temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage -C
U1016 Loss of Communication with PCM
U1096 Loss of Communications with IPC
U1064 Lose of Communications with DCM
The only other time I got these exact codes was when I installed the SLP MAF about three months ago. I did remove this as well as clear all codes.
It is some what common for the connector to the IAT sensor to go bad causing an intermittant open circuit resulting in those codes :yesnod:Unfortunatly, the only way to determne this is to monitor the IAT temp with a scanner by jiggling the harness connector. It is also possible to get the idle to change by jiggling the connector, confirming an open circuit. The connector is available from the dealer and can be simply spliced in...
It is also possible that you have a faulty IAT sensor...
