Can any Chevy Dealership do This ?
Got my first C5 recently from a used car lot here in Las vegas...No background info. Here's the question..Can any Chevy Dealership run my VIN and see what (if any) recall work has been done..I especially want to know if the column lock issue has been fixed. Car has 200K plus miles. I would imagine it's had some issues addressed by now. But I want to find out for myself if possible.
I do see posts about wiggling the wheel and looking for wires and black boxes and stuff, but I'm not much on technical car stuff and probably wouldn't know what I'm looking at anyway..Thanks for any input.

Call the dealer service department and give them your vin. Ask them to check for open recalls. Then ask them what recalls have been done and if they can email it to you or print it so you can pick it up. You can google the recall numbers to better understanding of what was actually done
