So this past week under normal driving anytime I have load on the clutch, I get a clunking/ rattling sound, even sitting still and engaging the clutch in neutral the noise occurs, under load it is louder. It only makes it as I start to roll off from a start.
The car is engaging correctly and not slipping just making a hell of a rattle.
The car is a 2004 Z06 with 45k miles on it.
Any ideas or things I should look at/ do to rule things out?
Your help is appreciated, I will also try and post up a video later when I get home of what it does.
I have automatic, so just guessing, BUT--sounds like throw out bearing on clutch assembly is bad. If I am correct, you will lose use of clutch soon. good luck
