I thought folks running the autocross track were getting away from their superchargers and going N/A

NA is generally better for auto crosses and road courses. SC is better at the drags but either one can be made to work.

Gears are a good option is the car doesn't have the performance axle option. I've driven both and I would never own one without the performance axle.

I think he needs to consider changing rear end gears. The auto never had the rear gear ratio I thought it should have. Even with my manual, I plan to make a change. I am not interested in top end speed. Also, I like keeping the car and engine looking stock.

zo6 trans and diff since its quicker, thatll make it feel faster. vararam, headers, x pipe, exhaust, tune. maybe a throttle body???? also a short throw shifter

Gears are the first thing to consider when looking to increase performance.

with the headers, CAI and tune. It will feel and be much quicker than the car he's been driving for the last 10 years. You should be able to get a good used 3.42 for $6-800.00.
