When the car is warm it idles anywhere between 15 -1800 rpm and when i come to a stop 2-3 seconds later it goes back to normal....i already changed the MAF sensor..but i will assume there is an idle sensor..that could be defective...any help on this issue would be appreciated 2001 z06 with 25k ...thnx
Spoke to friend of mine he told me the car needs a throttle body reset and gm dealers do it and it takes 10 minutes.......ill try it and post the results at a later date.......

Never heard of such a thing.
Use the dic and see if you have any codes set.
No codes....the car runs great just doesn't go to its normal idle until the car is completely stopped for a couple of seconds...it's just annoying.....if it's not a throttle reset ...what the hell could it be?
I will do both the throttle body ckean and check for vacuum leaks....thanks for the advice.....if it works....well...good for me if it doesnt ...dealer.....
any mods done? any other service done recently?
i'd look for vacuum leaks around intake.
No leaks and no service done ...bone stock.....so far changed Maf sensor , plugs and wires same problem...high Iidle and again today Maf sensor code with check engine light went on....did a reset....after that the car drove fine except for the high idle.....pis sing me off.....I guess I'll have to bring it to the dealer....it will be Murphy, s law the car will probably show no problems......we will see....have a good one
