Re: Which Battery should you replace the stock one with? (Xssesive)
If you wish to stay with Delco. the AGM which came out with the '01 is a big upgrade over the flooded, and no chance of leaks and much less self discharge. If you want to go specialty, the Optima seems the popular choice.
and that is also AGM. There are also some gel models, but they are much more expensive and need charging rate monitored closely as they are not supposed to go any higher than 14.10 volts

I went to Pep Boys and bought a Optima "Redtop" for $109.00. Be sure to get the smaller/cheaper Redtop. They have another Redtop model for $119.00 plus a Yellow top version, but they do not fit the battery tray as well.

Bought the Red Top from Pep Boys but it didn't fit and they didn't have the adapters. Went to Wal-Mart and picked up their MAXX 75. It came with a 3 year full replacement warranty and a 9 year pro-rated warranty. Has much more CA and CCA than the AC Delco unit, fits and looks better than the Optima and only costs $54!
