powerbraking problem

tried to powerbrake my 2000 c5 and at 1500 rpms car boged down and shook. any ideas why

auto or manual trans. If manual did you leave it in a low gear 5 or 6?

automatic had it in drive would not go over 1500 rpms when holding brake. reves fine in park and takes off fine in drive when you hit the gas

stock torque converter is only around 1800 or so i think. put a 4000 in it and never look back

Abuse mode as well as the traction control don't like you power braking.

Try it with the TC off

Abuse mode in pcm cuts power at 1200 rpms by 50 percent. I have turned my traction control off and still does it. Been discussing it here https://www.corvetteforum.com/c5-scan-and-tune/3475707-please-help-cant-build-up-or-spin-tires-over-in-my-c5-corvette.html
