Can I cause any damage by driving without programming after mods...
Have had the following mods done. ON taking the car back home, it cut off completely while driving but then restarted immediately within a few milliseconds. I did not have to turn the key at all and was able to drive on. This happened about 3 times. I have checked battery terminals etc. Is the computer recalibrating or something and can I cause any harm by driving it as is until I get the programming done.

I don't think you can cause any damage, but I would have it programmed to take full advantage of all of the mods. Impressive list. Hope everything turns out ok.

Hi Naylin. Can you elaborate a little on what the scenario was when it was cutting off? Did any codes set? This sounds strange unless if it's got something to do with going into reduced engine power mode (e.g. if the TB is a little out of whack or something along those lines.) Do you know if the shop road tested it or just ran it in the shop?

HI Kurt,
Just seemed to be cutting off i.e as if no battery power to the car at all. LIghts etc all went off, lost power steering etc for a very short period then restarted without me having to turn the key.
They did just a short test drive around the block.
I also think that they might not have reconnected the emission control stuff.
Multiple codes now showing.
May have to leave car in the garage until programming is done I think.

You might be chasing a wild goose by thinking its a lack of programing after the mods... rather than thinking something was not done correctly/completely when the mods were installed. Like a connector not reattached, or a pinched wire.
If it is a lack of reprog; then you should get error messages on the DIC and/or a check engine light before the car would ever shut itself down.
In other words; you might still have the problem after the reprog.

I am in full agreement w/ Tim's assessment. I would be looking for poor grounds and the like.

will connect my autotap tonight and see what the codes mean.
Most of the codes are related to the emission control. P0300 means cylinders misfiring.
They didnt reconnect the emissions control apparently deliberately as this is not necessary in New Zealand, but I guess they will have to reconnect this to avoid throwing these codes
