what short throw shifter is everyone prefering? Im a Fbody guy, looking to replace a shifter in a c5 for someone, but not sure if they use a diff shifter or not? Im guessing there diff than the direct mounted Fbody shifters. course he wants short throw's and shorter shifter handle.
I have a pro 5.0 in my trans am. like it better than the ripper or hurst. but again, Im not sure if thats a fair comparo from fbody to vette?
I been looking though this forum for about a year, I have finally purchased my vette 99 C5, one of the things I really was stuck on was what shifter!!! I decided on the MGW, I can’t put into words after spending over 300 bills on a shifter how happy I am with it. The workmanship is awesome!!! PS mine is the latest version with the box, IMO is the most important part !!!!
I've just installed the newest version of the MGW, it includes a shifter box. The first one was very good the second is much improved. Not a lot of miles yet as I'm dealing with my Monster clutch nightmare, but having the original MGW the second version gets the

My shameless plug, the MGW shifter I just removed is available if your buddy is interested. It is the version prior to the shift box, very low miles & in as new condition. Shoot a PM if he is interested.

I have the first version MGW with the C6 shift box and love it. I had an MGW on my Mustang as well. A lot of good engineering and materials go into their products.
