Default Electronic issue ?

So I start my 98 C5 this morning , everything is fine, All of a sudden all the gauges go haywire, abs lights, check engine light and a bunch of others, In the message center its says reduced engine power and more, Pretty much every light goes off. So I turn key off and restart, Everything is fine, I drive a couple mile and all the warning lights and messages come on again so I stop and restart, All is good again. Anybody have any ideas, I checked the battery connections and they are good.

Thanks 8VETTE7, I don't think I have any moisture issues so it may be plugs in the doors or the seat.

Also, you need to learn how to pull your DIC trouble codes. Pull them and post for us. Always include the H, C, or H and C. Recommend you pull the codes before you shut the engine off or most codes will only show H. They can help tell you and us what is going on.

Door seems to be the most common place.

I know how to pull codes, I'll probably get to it later today or when it freaks out again which I think would probably be best

As mentioned above, your best "candidates" are the door control modules and the seat control module. You may want to do the STAR connector 2 troubleshooting procedure to make sure it is one of them, and if yes, proceed to correct the problem as per Bill Curlee's thread in one of the links you were given above.
