oil sending unit

I know you guys have never heard of this but c5's have an oil sending unit problem! I just got about 100 miles out of my gm unit and guess what? I've read on previous posts that gm does not have the best quality units, which leads me to my important question. Is there a popular consensus on a particular brand? I don't want to do this too many times. Thanks for listening! Jim

I bought one from a company called Standard. It works fine and already survived a track day.

Thanks, I saw it at the Summit web site also. I think it was in the mid thirties. I have to say this forum is great! Lots of help.

Two years ago I installed one new GM unit on my dad's and a brass one from Borg Warner I purchased from Oreillys in mine. The GM unit failed in two weeks. The BW unit is still going strong.
