2000 Corvette Will Not Turn Over
Hi guys, I'm new to the forums and would really appreciate it if someone could help me with a problem. My pops 2000 corvette will not turn over. I (his son) am posting for him, due to his medical condition. We have checked the battery to see if it had a good charge and it dit did. 12.2 volts what was read on the dash and I personally took my DMM (digital multimeter) and checked, both read 12.2-12.4V. The connections are very tight and there is no corrosion around the battery. What are a few things that could cause this to happen.

A quick load check can be done by reading the voltage at the battery with you DMM. Have your dad hit the starter switch and see what the voltage does. If the voltage drops way off your battery is bad. Has the voltage but not the amperage.

Ok guys, thank you for all your suggestions and thoughts on what this problem could have been. We narrowed it down to the shifter cable linkage. I found this out because when the car is in parked or in reverse it will move both forward and backwards freely. So now my question is, can someone please help me with this new situation. Is there a video or a link to another thread that will help me uninstall and re install this part. Much appreciated help from my Pop's and I. Thank you

Shifter cable is probably broken, do a search on it, common issue. I assume it's an automatic.
