Please excuse this ignorant tranny question..............
Could someone tell me the difference between the transmission in a Z06 & a 6 speed in a coupe or vert? I saw on another thread where someone referred to the z's tranny as an m12 maybe?? Thanks in advance. :confused:

The Z06 has a more "aggressive" transmission designed for all-out high performance driving. Below is a comparison between the standard 6-speed installed on coupes and verts (MN6 on the left) and the Z06 M12 tranny. Thanks to SNW vette for the listing. :cheers:

As you can see, the Z06 M12 is better matched to the more capable engine that turns it.
