Wolfe 5-Point Rollbar Ordered...
Options I chose include:
Swing-out driver's side bar - a must!
Straight rear bars - the pics on the website show the bent rear bars, but I believe the straight rear bars are a much better design. Plus, I'm not 100% sure if the bent rear bars meet NHRA regulations.
Powercoated black - another must, just look at how nasty the non-powdercoated bar looks in the pics on Wolfe's website
They said I should have the bar in 2-3 weeks. :D The total cost for my setup came to $670. A great deal if you ask me. As for the install, I'm going to call my mechanic tomorrow, and find out how long he thinks it'll take to bolt up. The guy at Wolfe said the install was very simple, with actually getting the bar into the car being the trickiest part.
You can see the bar here: http://www.wolferacecraft.com/pages/c5.htm
Note: on the site, they only show 4 and 6-point bars. But, a 5-point is available if you ask. :yesnod:
Along with the bar, I also ordered a Sparco 6-point harness from R-D Racing ($215) and a fire jacket from Racer Wholesale ($150). A lot of money, but at least I'll finally meet NHRA regulations, and be albe to run 11s without worrying about being thrown out. :D
I'll let everyone know how I like the bar once it's installed. Oh, and don't worry, I'll be sure to post lots of pics too. :D :D :D
Hey Brent! Yeah, I wish I could do ET Streets, but living 100 miles away from the track, it's a tricky situation. They wouldn't last long if I drive that distance on them. Maybe next year if I can figure something out. In the mean time, I'm hoping to cut some nice Pig-like 60ft times with my 315 BFGs. :D

you are more then welcome to leave them at my house :)

Let's not forget that these cheater slicks are DOT approved and run by many bad ar se street cars which can only hook up with an awesome tire like this.
Nitrovette :smash:
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
BTW I got the Chromoly one looks awesome and is powdercoated.

Is that the Wolfe Racing bar?
I got to mine in next week. Those plates look like they are a wierd shape and could be a pain in the rear. I also did notice that that the side bar attachment point just over your left shoulder looks a little long. How is is with the swing out bar removed?
Did you get the weld in/ bolt in bar or the bolt together/ bolt in?
Any pictures??

I'll be checking your car, Mark, to see this bar.
Billy, You are really making me think about this! Nevertheless, very cool.
:yesnod:

The rules in the parking lot require that I have a roll bar now :( It use to be fun parking on the other side of the fence . By being a cheerleader I thought I could get away with it
