Default Step one: Turbo or engine swap?

I recently picked up my first vette, a stock 04 Z06 with 34k miles. This will be mostly street driven with occasional trips to the strip. End goal is a reliable daily driver that runs in the high 9's/low 10's. My original intentions were to slap a TTiX kit on her aiming for 550-600 rwhp on the stock motor. Then later building the block/drivetrain and cranking the boost up.

But now Im considering an engine swap(more cubes)and building the motor/drivetrain first. The LSX and RHS offerings are looking like good options. My thinking is, build a motor with the money I have now. Then I could sell my current engine and tranny to help fund the TTiX project. Rather than risk their destruction by going turbo first and getting much less $$$ if anything for them. Im in no hurry, as Im really enjoying my stock Z06, but I know me, and I will have to have more power soon. I want to do this right the first time, buy once, cry once. So Im seeking advice/help from those that have been there done that. So, help me spend my money please? Wisely of course!

I would suggest lots of track time with the stock engine to get familiar with launching and shifting very quickly. There's lots of info here on launch techniques.
Engine 1st, with more cubes.

Thanks for the reply, after re reading my own post, it's now obvious to me that the motor swap should be first on my list.

Any suggestions on what motor I should go with?

Low 10, high 9's are going to take a LOT of HP to get those #'s, probably North of 700 at the wheels. ZR1 1/4 mile is 10.7 and that's 640hp http://fastestlaps.com/cars/chevrolet_corvette_zr1.html
