The shop had this 04 Z06 for a few months replacing the rear main seal. The owner of the shop took it for a test drive once it was buttoned up and noticed a rattle below the console that was not there prior.
I drove it a few days and returned it for them to solve. The rear end and torque tube are now out and no sure ideas yet as to the cause.
It's prominent from the shifter area and back, though we don't think it's the shifter. Nothing loose on the tt that we can see or feel when it's turned.
I'm looking to give the Texas Mile a try this Oct and sure don't want any surprises at 175mph. Any ideas on this?
That is a good observation. I've had it happen before and it doesn't sound like that, but it is now all removed and I didn't lay eyes on it. Something to look for.
