I read a post where the OP jacked the rear of his car up, ran it up to 9 mph in 2nd gear to run the BPMV and activate the solenoids. Anyone else use this method. I have a 2000, and I understand it is quite difficult to get to the top of the motor to run a jumper.

It takes a lot less work to take the car out on a clear highway and hammer the brakes at 50 mph and put the car into full ABS mode. When the brake pedal is vibrating and the car is shuddering you will have all 4 wheels in ABS mode and the solenoids, valves and pump motor will be operating. The fallacy of raising the rear and letting the rear wheels turn is that only addresses the valves for the rear brakes.

I generally just wait for a day of wet roads and give the brakes a nice working over.
