Hi guys, my dad has a 2003 Corvette 50th anniversary with an automatic transmission. The car has 16k on it and we put a new trans in it that has like 30k I believe.
When he holds the brake down and raises the gas up to the stall speed as if he were to launch the car, which seems to be about 1000 RPMs, there is some kind of grinding or clunking in the transmission area.
Have you verified you have adequate fluid level in it?
Did this start when you put the used tranny in or start later?
We replaced the tranny about a year ago. We're only noticing this now. But he has only put between 500 - 1000 miles on it since last year. He doesn't really drive it much.
