Default C5 Z06 problems

I am looking to purchase a C5 Z06, however, I want to know the most common problems, i.e., Bad valve springs in the 2002-2003 models, clutch's sticking to the floor requiring fluid change, ignition problems, etc. Thanks for your input.

Clutches sticking to the floor requiring new clutches is more like it. Some people do the drill mod in an attempt to alleviate the issue, but a POS pressure plate is often the cause as well. There are many 11" options, but I myself want a 10.5" solution. Some people have issues with the fill tube on the tank leaking, but that one doesn't seem to be as rampant as the first 2. The constant boner you'll have driving the car can be annoying at first, but you get used to it after a while.

valve springs and the potential clutch, and the hvac screen repair are about it

other than general age related items like water pumps, shocks etc they are really trouble free

valve springs are cheap too. 65 dollars a set

No it does not. Call Tick yourself and ask them. Ask for either Joey, Martin or Jonathan. They'll even tell you you're fighting the stock GM POS self adjusting pressure plate.

Get an aftermarket clutch and be done with it.
