I don't go to the track or strip but I do drive 'er hard and smart. My previous "fast car" was my tire smoking, to 60 in 7, 140 mph 1996 Impalla SS. For the past year I have been soaking up all the Corvette info I could, and in May I finally puchased my first Corvette. You can see in my sig the mods that I had planned. This car is soooo fast to me. Launching from the light at 2800 rpm, it is always exciting to see if I am going to hook up or smoke out. If rolling in first at 5 mph, WOT will render a faint squeal from the tires most of the way to 2nd. How much more HP can I handle anyway?
Most everyone in the forum has experience with mods. If I am not looking for tenths of a second at the strip, would you guys recommend going ahead with the LFE mods?
The only mod I have done so far is changing the shift **** to a round polished '66 repro since that is the car my dad sold four months before I got my liscense! :flag
You could go somewhere else and have a lot faster car for less money than lingenfelter would charge. Lingenfelter is the best but there is a big price that goes along with that. I had a lot of money to burn i would buy a LPE package but i dont. If you have the funds to go with Lingenfelter than do it but if money is tight see what some of the other supporting tuners can do for you.
Welcome to the Forum!! If it is Real time HP experience you want... we have a room full of members that are here to help you out... :) You may be happy with those mods... as for me I really needed more! :yesnod:
If you have any questions... feel free to ask!! :)
You may find someone cheaper but you will never find anyone better. John gies you peice of mind and confidence whn you go with his stuff. You get what you pay for.
