I have been trying to bleed my clutch and still have air in it.
I have a remote bleeder and have been having my wife push in the pedal and hold with the bleeder valve open and then close the bleeder valve and pull up the pedal.
I go through two or three resevours and still have some air bubbling when the pedal is pushed with the drain open.
Can I use a pressure bleeder on this?
Also, I read where I should use Castrol SRF brake fluid as it has a 500 degree wet boiling point.
Also, my clutch pedal gets stiffer when I accelerate fast. I believe it is in the fluid but I need advice.
I use a mityvac for the clutch. You'll clear out all the air/old fluid in 3 minutes. One man job. I picked up the 16oz reservoir, so you bleed through a 12oz bottle of good fluid no problem.

I doubt the fluid is the problem... I tried motul fluid and it felt a little better at first but the same thing happened... tried a tick master and a little better but still not 100%... changed the clutch, problem solved... I think the ls6 pressure plate is just a piece of junk... I'm using castrol srf now after the clutch swap but it's an expensive fluid just to experiment with (about $80 for a bottle)... do you have a speed bleeder on your remote bleeder line?... make sure you just crack it loose and don't open it too much or it can let air back in... could also possibly be a leaking clutch master allowing air back into the system
I have an LS 6 Clutch and I agree with you, I'm going to need a new clutch. I'm trying to make it last until next year. Thanks for the advice.

when doing a fresh bleed, I have had it take upwards of 45 mins and 4 pints of brake fluid to get it completely bled. That is without a vacuum bleeder.
Thanks, I bled the clutch again and I seem to have gotten the air out. I drove the car last night and the clutch felt a lot better. This is a heads and cam, headers car and as I mentioned, I'm going to have to get a better clutch. I'm really glad I put a remote bleeder on when the clutch was changed. I don't see how the clutch can be bled without it. Thanks
