By sames specs are you referring to tread width? . If so, then here are some choices. The r888 has 11.5" of tread width for reference.

Bridgestone potenza re11 12.1"

Toyo proxes 1 at 12"

Continental contisportcontact 5p at 12"

Michelin pilot sport 2 at 12.3"

Michelin pilot super sport at 12.1"

Pirelli pzero at 12"

If you're at 540rwhp and you want a tire for traction then go with the R888's. I ran the same sizes with 585 rwhp and they hooked up just fine. It all depends on how you drive the car, yes an R compound tire will wear quicker but in the long run do you want to put something on there that's going to be completely worthless for traction?
The R888's are also ok to use in the wet road conditions since the design of them channels water away from the tire. I personally drove a 400 mile round trip in them with no issues.

If you're still against the low thread rating then i'd highly recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's. They're a great overall tire, definitely one of the best you can get for comfort, traction and life. Don't expect them to hold 540rwhp very well.
