I think I'll go with a DOT3 brake fluid, it definitely needs a flush.
As for the brake pads, I was leaning towards the ACDelco semi metalic pads but The Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 looks interesting. What exactly is the Ferro-Carbon compound? And how is it in the cold/rain? Anyone here have any experience with these?? Thanks~
the 5.0 has a slightly higher friction co efficent than the HPS. hawk says they don't squeal like the HP+ or dust badly. if this is the case the 5.0 is the ideal street pad
ferro carbon is kind of a hawk buzzword but there are carbon fibers in the friction material
brake pads are all measured by friction mu and this changes with clamping force and temp. hawk is one of the few companies that will share friction mu numbers with you
Thought I'd mention that that coating on the rotors will clog up your new pads for a few days. At least it did on mine.
I used EBC green pads. I don't remember the rotor supplier, they sell here in the forum. But the EBC pads are wearing them pretty fast. You tend to get what you pay for when choosing inexpensive rotors.

if you have slotted rotors that's part of the reason you have a short pad life. i tried the same pad on slotted and blanks back in my c4 days. the blanks went a LOT longer on the pad. the sweeping of the slots seems to scrape pad material
